For most of history, you had a choice: stay dry, or look good. We never accepted that trade. So we build boots that do both, and refuse to compromise on either.
Chooka is part of Washington Shoe Company, a fourth-generation, family-owned business that has been making rain boots in Seattle since 1891. We have spent 135 years perfecting one thing, and we are just getting warmed up.

We do not design rain boots in a dry studio and hope for the best. We build them in Seattle and prove them in the weather that made us.
Every seam, sole, and silhouette has to earn its place against a Pacific Northwest sky. If it cannot handle our rain, it does not get your name on the box.
